Friends of the Dunlap Public Library

What’s a Friend? We’re a nonprofit group of library lovers who provide support to the library through volunteering and fundraising. Throughout the country, non-profit library Friends groups provide funds for library needs not covered by our tax dollars. See information here on purchases the Friends have made for the Dunlap Public Library.  

Our Mission 

The Friends of the Dunlap Public Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization composed of individuals interested in supporting the Library in various ways.  

 The Friends of the Dunlap Public Library: 

• Provides opportunities for giving and volunteering through events, meetings and fundraising drives for those passionate about the Dunlap Library. 

• Supports selected building, programs, and other enhancements desired by library leadership via dues and fundraising efforts. 

• Serves as Dunlap Library ambassadors by encouraging the use of the Library and participation in programs with their social, family, and workgroups. 

Our Vision 

The Friends of the Dunlap Public Library, in collaboration with the Library leadership, enable the Library to achieve goals not previously possible due to a lack of resources. The Friends group’s ambassadorship role results in significant growth in using the Library’s offerings and as a center for community programming.
